J NOWILL & SONS. Marked on both blades.
Not marked Sheffield or England, but this is an older Sheffield brand.
I believe that this knife dates from the mid 1800’s to 1900.
Two-blade “Mustache Quill Penknife” pattern, 3” closed.
Amazing, elegant pattern!
Brass liners, nickel silver pins.
Both blades have strong snap, half stops, no wobble.
The backspring has a nail file surface on the exterior.
Fiery mother of pearl handles.
The handles have no cracks or damage.
Shows light use but never sharpened. Original factory finish and edges.
The blades each have patina, stains.
Stunning quality on this knife, amazing pattern and pearl!
