Antique National Cutlery Works Sheffield Pocket Knife Dual Long Pull Cylindrical.
Very unique pen knife up for bid. This knife is made by the national cutlery works. It looks Sheffield but I believe national cutlery works was a German company.
This is a very cool and unique knife. It is almost cylindrical, with the handle scales being rounded so much, it feels almost like a pen in hand.
One of my favorite features of this knife is the dual sheepsfoot blades that both have a long pull. It’s pretty uncommon to see a pen blade with a long pull so I love seeing them this way. The grinds on the blades are also done exceptionally well with a beautiful swedge even on the small pen blade.
The handle covers are bone and are in decent shape. The presentation side is missing the shield, and the pile side has a piece of bone missing as well as two tight pin cracks.
The walk and talk is very good with smooth action and great snaps on both blades in every position. The blades have almost no sharpening loss whatsoever.
Fantastic knife overall and very unique, I really like this one. Great knife for a pen knife collection!!
