    Description

    Up for auction is a vintage antique and RARE ROBINSON BROS & Co of Louisville Kentucky 2 blade folding pocket knife.  This is a very old pocket knife probably pre 1900.  Levine's Guide to Knives dates Robinson between 1880 and 1925.  I think this knife is from the 1880s or 1890s.  The handle is either a very worn GUNSTOCK JACK or more probably it is a COFFIN JACK also sometimes referred to as a CROWN JACK.  Condition is decent for a knife of 120+ year old age.  Main blade is worn and has some bigger chips in edge near tip but still is near full length.  Secondary blade is in better shape looking full.  Overall tarnish to the carbon steel blades.  Slight blade wobble to main blade.  Decent snap of secondary blade.  Light snap to main blade.  NO chips in jigged bone handles.  But both sides have cracks in handle slabs.  Looks stable.  Please check my other knife listings.  Thanks.
