    Description

Very old Buck 501 knife.   The Buck 501 model was introduced in 1975:  Micarta handles, integrated liners and bolsters, two handle pins, and a Lockback pivit pin showing.   By 1977 the  lockback pivot was under the handles.   The Script BUCK tang stamp was used until 1980 and the Micarta was used until 1981.  Therefore this knife is from the years 1977-1980.
It is used knife, but not abused.  There are minor scratches, nearly unnoticeable, on the handle.  The blade has been sharpened a lot.  It is about 1/16 inch shorter than a new blade.  Action is fine for both the blade and the lock mechanism.
    A very collectible knife.
