    Hi, I am Steve Pfeiffer, author of the book
    Collecting Case knives - Identification and Price Guide
    . I have been collecting, buying, and selling CASE and other brands of vintage and modern pocket knives since 1973.
    I am offering some fine collectible pocket knives for sale. See my other auction listings for more collectible knives.
    This is a vintage Solingen-made “Three Eye” trapper pattern pocket knife.
    Made by Carl Schlieper with hammer-forged carbon steel blades.
    4” closed. Brass liners, nickel silver pins.
    Yellow composition handles, no cracks.
    Both blades have strong snap.
    Blades are both full – appear to have never been sharpened.
    The blades have dark patina and stains on the original factory finish.
    Backsprings have surface rust.
    The blades are tight in the frame with minimal side to side wobble.
    However, as the photos show, the blade pin has pulled into the bolster a bit, there is a gap visible.
    This knife needs to have the blade pin properly replaced.
    A great knife to repair and clean up for everyday carry and use.
    The knife shown in the photos is the exact knife that you will receive.
    All knives will be shipped promptly to you in a sturdy corrugated box.
