Description

Presented is one if the Rarest Vintage Disney Studio Items I’ve ever had. Obtained many years ago, from a Disney Artist, that worked for Disney in the late 30’s and early 40’s, until he went into the war.  After his service, he was released from Disney, after they kept him the minimum time for returning Veterans. He was then released, due to his connection to those artists that orchestrated the Strike at the Studio.  He shared great stories with me and provided me with some of the things he had kept but no longer wanted, due to his lifelong bitterness for Disney. He never worked as a professional artist after that experience and basically used his talents on personal cards, hand painted wall coverings, and other personal art.  He pretty much lived in a house, that still looked like the 40’s, grew his food, and enjoyed watching old movies.   I had two at one time and sold one to a fellow collector and at this point in life, I’m ready to pass it on to someone that cherishes Vintage Disney Studio Items. THE DISNEY STUDIO THEATRE IN BURBANK OPENED IN 1940. It was used for in house work most of the time, but was opened to the public occasionally. It has since been renovated and is used to this day!
